Our principal and staff

Our school team is committed to every student’s learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging. We work together to create a supportive and inclusive school where every child is set up for success.

Welcome from our principal

At Canterbury Girls High School, we are proud of our long tradition of educating and supporting young women, a commitment that has continued since 1890. With more than 25 years of experience as an educator in NSW public schools, I am honoured to serve as the fifteenth Principal of Canterbury Girls High School. I am passionate about maintaining our school's position as a leader in girls’ education and ensuring that we remain the school of choice for families in our local area.

Our foundation is built upon a rich heritage, the promise of public education, and a dedication to nurturing the growth of every student. At Canterbury Girls, our experienced and devoted staff work in partnership with families to educate, enrich, and empower students in a supportive environment. We recognise and celebrate student achievements through merit and recognition awards, inspiring all students to pursue excellence in every facet of school life and to actively engage in co-curricular activities.

We embrace the diverse cultures within our school community and proudly support our students as they take on new challenges, forge lifelong friendships, and realise their potential within an environment that values curiosity, creativity, and empowerment.

Choosing a high school for your child can be a significant decision. If you are undecided, I encourage you to explore our website and contact the school to arrange an in-action tour to discover what makes Canterbury Girls High School a vibrant and inspiring place to learn and succeed. We look forward to showing you the outstanding education your daughter will receive as a student at our school.
