Strong academic results
Our students consistently perform at a high level in state and national competitions, reflecting both the strength of our academic programs and the dedication of our expert teaching staff.
In 2024, our Year 12 students achieved excellent results, with the highest ATAR reaching an outstanding 98.6. The 101 students who completed the 2024 HSC achieved:
- Dux & All Round Achiever (top band in 10 units or more)
- 22 Distinguished Achievers, excelling across multiple subjects.

- 168 Band 5 results
- 42% of all results were in the top two Bands
- 75 % of all results were in the top 3 bands

A Rich History and Strong Tradition
We are proud of our heritage and the generations of strong, successful Cantabrians who have graduated from Canterbury Girls High School. Established in 1890 as an educational institution for girls at the post-primary level, the school became Canterbury Domestic Science School in 1913 with just 18 students. In 1959, it evolved into a comprehensive high school and has since continued to grow, always committed to providing excellence in education for girls.
